COMMERCIAL LITIGATION

In addition to our work on Employment Law, our litigation department provides support to our commercial clients primarily in the area of debt recovery and enforcement of commercial agreements.

Our litigation team can provide highly cost effective assistance for simple debt collection matters, where simple steps can make all the difference between rapid recovery of substantially all amounts owed and extended waits often culminating in the debtor going into receivership and recovery of only a  limited amount or none of the debt.

For more complex needs in enforcing commercial contracts, including obtaining injunctions and/or orders requiring specific performance of contracts, our litigation team can help.  We often use external expert barristers to minimise the costs for our clients.  We appreciate that we are not experts in all areas, but we know who is!

Perhaps most importantly we give our commercial clients a reasoned assessment of their chances of success in litigation before large costs are incurred, allowing them to perform a cost/benefit analysis.  We are not a niche litigation practice and have no interest in running litigation as our primary money earner.  We therefore believe that we can give genuinely unbiased and commercially realistic views.
