We have years of experience in ensuring that as a business you identify the correct form of contract to use in your particular scenario, taking into account the tax and financial implications. Contracts come in various forms and guises but as a general guide we offer the following: -
- employment law check, whereby we audit all employment related documentation, such as the contract, company handbook, disciplinary procedures and advise on any up-dates or amendments that need to be made - all of the documents mentioned above form part of the agreement regulating the employment relationship and need to be brought together through the employment contract;
- advice on the vast amount of new and forthcoming legislation (UK and European) relating to employers obligations in employment protection rights - this can have substantial effect on the shape of future contracts as well as requiring amendments to existing arrangements;
- advice on pre-employment matters such as advertising, application forms, interviewing and referencing;
- the preparation of employee's and directors' service contracts tailored to meet the individual needs of our client;
- the preparation of various forms of consultancy contracts and letters of appointment tied in with business transactions.
Once the form of contract has been set, we assist with the administration of that contract - we advise and help manage employee problems, for instance in ensuring that businesses undergoing restructure do not infringe employee's legal rights including advising on the requirements relating to equal and fair treatment of staff and the need to consult in advance. In addition to all this we ensure all our clients are aware of the tax and financial implications of their obligations in relation to the contracts that we have prepared.
