Whitfield Solar raises further finance

VSH client, Whitfield Solar Limited, the University of  Reading based renewable energy company, closed its second tranche of funding in early January 2006.  This will enable the company to push forward with its develoment of solar photovoltaic concentrators aimed at generating clean renewable energy for the world.

Whitfield Solar received additional equity funding totalling £500,000, 50% from private investors with matching funds from The Carbon Trust, the UK Government funded body tasked with encouraging the take up of renewable energy.
