One of our commercial lawyers, Christine Brooke, recently "bit the bullet" and re-qualfied as an English solcitior. Christine, who has been with the firm since 2003, was originally admitted a scottish solciitor in the 1980s and has worked in England for many years without formally qualifying in our jurisdiction (whilst England and Scotland have been part of the United Kingdom for centuries, the legal systems are slightly divergent). Re-qualification involved sitting additional exams covering English land law and accounts, which Christine passed with flying colours. Congratulations Christine! |
