Do you know that owning a property in sunny Spain attracts annual Spanish wealth and income taxes, whether or not your home is ever actually rented out?

Many people believe that, once Spanish transfer tax has been paid on purchase, and rates are being taken care of, thats the end of the story.  Its not only taxes that need to be watched, its also a good idea to consider making a Spanish will to cover your Spanish property.  This can save a great deal of hassle and expense in the event that you die with only an English will or - worse still - no will at all.  Your Spanish will must be written carefully to revoke any English will you do have only to the extent that it covers Spanish property.

For more information on this or other Spanish issues, our Spanish correspondents, Domenech Abogados will be able to provide invaluable expertise.
